Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q (/jij̼/ /gi̘q/ [doll] [amber]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Knarewent Community of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q is derived from the Tauric language, as Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q was founded by Guruth Cadwaladr, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q receives an average of 280 cm/y (110 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q covers an area of nearly 319 km2 (127 mi2), and an average elevation of 2424 m (7952 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q was founded durring the late 12th century in summer of the year 1057, by Guruth Cadwaladr. The establishment of Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q's construction back out of the project. Guruth Cadwaladr pushed on reguardles, and Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt canals streets whihch gives the city a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Astonishigly, the would-be-castle fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

A look around Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. This all rests atop the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q brings to mind.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q's natural decorations nor waterways.

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Cultural Notes

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Qi̘v Iēiy̼gi̊q's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.
